DAY 18 - June 10, 2018

SECRETS

Artist - Julie Morstad - found on Pinterest under blog:  thejealouscurator.com

A young boy stood in his dory
In the early morning glow
He was saddened and was sorry
By the secrets he buried below

His stories safely concealed
Consumed by the swaying grass
He desperately wanted to appeal
But he knew forever would last

Along came a lovely black swan
Attached to a girl on a string
They saw the sad boy on the pond
And thought it appropriate to sing

"We know you have a story,
But we don't know what it is
We hope it's not too gory
So let us eat Cheese Whiz"

"Our teacher breathes under water
With a school inside his beard
This man says he's our father
Which seems a little weird."

"Release whatever made you sad
You don't need it any way
Slap on a smile, don't be mad
Hurry now....it's time for us to play!"

They honked and they giggled
And the boy began to smile
The boy just wiggled and jiggled
And became happy after awhile

So the moral of this story...
Let go what you don't need
Enjoy each morning glory
And a wonderful day you'll lead

DAY 11 - June 3, 2013

ABIGAIL - my newest little cousin

Angels are born in heaven
But some are born right here
Irresistibly delightful
Goodness she's a dear
Apple of her Daddy's eye
I'm sure her Poppa's too
Lighting up the Carter's sky

and this is my song to you...love cousin Sherry xoxo

SWEET THING!

A CHILDREN'S STORY

Image from Google Images

MO & JO

There once was a horse name Mo
And his friend, the Spider named Jo
Who sat on his ear
Whispering stories he could hear
of adventures high and low

It's a strange site to see
(and while God blessed)
They were friends nonetheless
While the horse played free
The spider did weave
A story of love for the quest

They closed all their eyes
'Til they could see light inside
Where things are made up
Including the nuts
And colourful thoughts did arise

And this is where they went:

The mountain grew blue corn
Because it snowed every morn
It quivered and quaked
In the dark wide awake
Then warmed when the sun was born

Downtown to the Valley of Meadows
Wild flowers smile and glow
The butterflies dance
And rainbows prance
While the fairies and gnomes hang low

They drank purple tea
From the roots of the trees
It was poured and it fell
Into cups of blue bells
Sweetened by songs of the bees

They walked through a forest
While whistling a chorus
The birds chirped a tune
On top of sand dunes
And they met a dude named Doris

Beside the River Knox
They looked for gold chalk
But there's no such thing
So they continued to sing
Then called for pizza in a box

In the land of the Sleepy Sun
The day almost done
They warmed by the fire
Made of dreams of desire
And they slept on a bag of buns

The next day they awoke
To the sound of a croak
Mo found his voice
so Jo had no choice
And gave him a facebook poke

Then they opened their eyes
And became quite surprised
The story was dear
The ending was clear
As they finished their sherry pie.

The End
